Selecting the Series

Warrior Series
- For vehicles that are driven on the street with some occasional track days.
- Double adjustable providing for 19 positions of independent compression adjustment and 19 positions of independent rebound adjustment.
- The digressive force range has excellent low speed control with sufficient high speed forces, thereby allowing for excellent performance without sacrificing ride quality.
- Force curves are fixed. Valving cannot be changed (see Berserker Series below for more options).
- All Warriors are rebuildable by Viking or an authorized rebuilder.
Voyager Series
- For vehicles with a main purpose of cruising where ride comfort is the key.
- Double adjustable providing for 19 positions of independent compression adjustment and 22 positions of independent rebound adjustment.
- The patented valving provides for a digressive compression force curve with a fixed bleed and a soft, progressive rebound. This allows softer, linear low-speed forces for maximized ride comfort, while having the ability to handle all road events through ramped-up forces at higher shaft speeds.
- The only double adjustable shock on the market designed solely for cruising. With most adjustable shocks, the tuning range for cruising is limited to a few settings on the softer adjustments, whereas the Voyager provides a large, tuneable adjustment range with one goal in mind... cruising. This allows the user numerous options by utilizing the entire adjustment range to dial in the optimal desired ride quality.
- Force curves are fixed. Valving cannot be changed.
- All Voyagers are rebuildable by Viking or an authorized rebuilder.
- NOTE: the orifices that provide the bleed for the oil flow may create some minor noise at low shaft speed.
Berserker Series
- For high-performance street driven vehicles that attend competitive track days.
- Available in double adjustable, triple adjustable, or quad adjustable.
- Various patented valving options allow for force curves designed for specific intended use and vehicle specifications.
- Compression and/or rebound force curves can be changed by Viking or an authorized rebuilder.
- All Berserkers are rebuildable by Viking or an authorized rebuilder.
Crusader Series
- For Competition Use Only.
- Available in double adjustable or triple adjustable.
- Various patented valving options allow for force curves designed for specific intended use and vehicle specifications.
- The rebound valving has a progressive curve that is strictly determined via orifice control. A progressive valve will have a softer low speed force that ramps up very quickly as shaft speed increases. However, do not let this description deceive, as these shocks and struts can generate huge forces at low speeds depending on the needle and seat combination selected. In fact, the Crusader series produces forces far greater than nearly all other shocks/struts on the market.
- Rebound force curves can be easily changed. The rebound valving features a patented interchangeable needle and seat design. The rebound force adjustment range can be changed without completely disassembling the shock/strut in a process similar to jetting a carburetor. This can be accomplished with basic hand tools. There are no expensive “special tools” required to be purchased from Viking, and the revalve kits are very reasonably priced.
- Compression force curves can be changed by Viking or an authorized rebuilder.
- All Crusaders are rebuildable by Viking or an authorized rebuilder.
